This is a bright, rich, creamy and fresh Chardonnay from a vineyard located in the cool Santa Rita Hills and the vines are planted in ancient seabed. The vines struggle to survive in this environment but produce cool climate Chardonnay with apple, pear and mineral notes with excellent acidity and mouthfeel. This wine was whole cluster pressed, barrel fermented and aged in all French oak, sur lie, for 10 months prior to being bottled. It is pale yellow in color with wonderful richness and will pair well with hearty cream based soups or local white fish with a butter sauce!
